Choosing Between Floor, Table and Lift Sockets

Camille Reyes, Specification Manager6 min read

The right module depends less on the product and more on what sits above it: stone, timber, or nothing at all.

Floor boxes

Best where furniture moves and the slab can be coordinated early. Choose an inlay lid in visible material fields and an IP54 rating anywhere near a terrace or wet edge.

Table pop-ups

Ideal for islands, dining tables and reception desks. Shallow, quick to install, and invisible when closed — but limited in the number of modules they can carry.

Lift towers

The right answer for boardrooms and AV-heavy joinery, where power, USB-C, HDMI and data must all appear together and then disappear. Requires the most carcass depth of the three.
