Specifying for Hospitality at Scale
In hospitality, a wiring device is specified once and installed hundreds of times. That multiplies both good judgement and bad.
Specify for cycles, not for looks alone
A guest room switch is operated many times more often than a residential one. Confirm the mechanism's rated operations — ours are tested to 100,000 — before comparing on price.
Write a schedule that resists substitution
Name the finish, the mechanism rating, the plate construction and the warranty term. A schedule written only by product name invites a like-for-like substitution that is neither.
Plan the spares package
Reserve two to three percent of each device type from the same production batch. Replacements sourced two years later will not match.
